Sessions are run from our Autism Hub in Landsborough

Half or full day sessions
4 children per group
What can sessions include?
Executive Functioning Focus
Flexible thinking, working memory, self-control, perseverance
Social & Emotional Focus
Taking turns, sharing, play skills, conflict resolution, friendship, emotional understanding and regulation
Cognitive Focus
Independence, following instructions, decision making, inference skills, logic and visual processing

Neuro-affirming approach
We support our participants by adopting a neuro-affirming approach. We focus on helping our participants to find their authentic selves and develop skills that align with their values. This can include:
Building self-esteem and promoting independence
Understanding the differences in social communication styles for different neurotypes and validating all
Developing self-advocacy skills
Identifying emotions and vocabulary to help develop self-awareness and other-awareness
Understanding supports and accommodations that are vital to success
